THE FABRIC
French terry is a type of knit fabric that has loops on the inside. It’s a fabric mostly used in casual clothing garments like pullovers, hoodies, dresses, and sweatpants or shorts. It’s a midweight fabric that is heavier than a standard t-shirt fabric, but lighter than our soft sweat fabric. Plus it drapes a bit more so your garments will fall nicely against the body. Ideal for when you’re working from home or if you want to be comfortable at home.
Another name for French terry is summer sweat. It’s ideal for all seasons. In winter you can layer with undergarments, and in spring, summer, and autumn this type of fabric is cool enough to wear during days that are a bit chilly or in the evening when the sun is down.

FABRIC FAQ
All fabrics are sold in 10 cm increments, with a minimum length of 50 cm. The fabric will be cut in 1 length. If this is not possible we will always contact you via e-mail to discuss the options.
Due to the vast color variances in every monitor and mobile device, we cannot guarantee the color will be an exact match to what you see online. But we try to reflect and photograph the fabrics as true to reality as possible.

ORDERING SAMPLES
You can order samples through the shop by selecting ‘Buy a sample’ of the product and color you prefer. A sample costs €0,50. Samples are small pieces of fabric (a few cm2) to help you decide on the perfect fabric for your next sewing project. From these small pieces, you can determine the color, type of weave/knit, and feel of the fabric. The samples are sent in an envelope through regular mail (PostNL). You will not be able to track the envelope. Samples are shipped within 1-2 workdays.
Shipping in NL is free of charge. At checkout please choose the free shipping option ‘Only Samples’. If you want to have the samples shipped to Belgium or Germany shipping costs are €2,-. It is possible to order samples and have them shipped to other countries. In this case, the default shipping rate of a package is calculated at check-out.
Products that are excluded from the sample service: deadstock fabrics (as they are limited edition), sewing patterns, sewing magazines, and sewing thread.
